Chapter History

The San Bernardino (CA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, affectionately known as the “Desert Diamond Nupes,” was chartered on November 8, 1959. For more than six decades, the chapter has served the Inland Empire through achievement, leadership, mentorship, and community service while upholding the fundamental purpose and ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi.

Since its inception, the chapter has remained dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships within the community and creating opportunities that positively impact youth, families, and future leaders. Through Guide Right initiatives, Kappa League mentorship, scholarship support, and civic engagement, the chapter continues to leave a lasting impact throughout San Bernardino County and surrounding communities.
